The absolute best value for trout fishing and lodging. The lodge is immaculate and comfortable with a staff that is friendly and eager to accommodate. On the North Platte River you do not need to make a decision between quality and quantity of fish as both are abundant. Having been there many times I have fished with a number of guides and find all of them exceptional in both the ability to put you on fish and making you feel comfortable. It is like fishing with a friend. They have earned my repeat business for many years to come.

My husband and I have traveled to the North Platte Lodge multiple times in the last couple of years. It is one of our favorite places to stay when we want to escape the hustle and bustle of our busy lives in Texas. The accommodations are perfect for a couple or 2 singles looking to catch some large rainbows on the North Platte. The lodge just recently went through a renovation, and the new living space and guest kitchen are not only beautiful but also functional. Most importantly, everything is very clean. My personal favorite spot is the deck. It's a perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a cocktail at the end of the day. Dinner around the dining table with other guests has introduced us to people from all over the country who share the same love of fly fishing that we do. Not to mention, the food is delicious! Katherine and Trent, two of the owners and managers of the lodge, have created a truly special and unique place.

Top marks for Erik and his son who rescued my husband and his best friend, both gentlemen fishermen in their 80's. There was a problem with one of the slide-outs on their camper and Erik and his son spent an hour finding the problem and fixing it! This literally saved them days of being stuck when their goal was to get to Montana the next day. Thank you for you selflessness & kindness!

I've had the privilege of staying at the North Platte Lodge in June for a 3 day fly fishing trip the last six years. I can't tell you enough what an amazing experience it was. Top notch lodge, staff, food, guides, etc. If you are a beginner or even an avid fly fisherman you have to put this on your bucket list. All their guides are highly knowledgeable & super friendly. Pat Ginder is my favorite guide. Born and raised on the river he will put you on fish. They have wonderful personalities and really make the experience that much better. North Platte Lodge is an amazing place.

I've been to this lodge once and I have been waiting the whole year to go again. The fishing is fantastic the guides will put you on the fish it's all about you whether you can get them in the boat. They are strong! After a day of fishing I have no words that can describe the cooking, it's basically a 5 star meal every single night. The cooking by itself is worth the trip. After a super fun day of fishing and a huge meal, it's time for some sleep and the beds and showers are top notch. The owners of the place are super friendly as well. I'm going again soon!

An incredible lodge experience from start to finish! The setting is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff are welcoming, professional, and truly make you feel at home. Whether you’re there for fishing, hunting, or just a quiet getaway, everything is well organized and top quality. Great food, great service, and unforgettable scenery—highly recommend! Want it more focused on fly fishing, more luxurious sounding, or shorter? I’ll tailor it

I just got back from a weekend up at the North Platte Lodge and had an excellent experience. Three of my friends and myself stayed in one of the cabins for a couple of nights and did a full day float trip with a couple of the resident guides from The Reef Fly Shop. We were all very impressed with the cabin. It looked brand new both inside and out and was spotlessly clean. The amenities included a full kitchen, grill, good hot water pressure, satellite TV, 3 beds/futon and enough space for 4 guys to spread out comfortably. The fishing was outstanding. Our guides, Pat and Chris, were pros and put us on a ton of fish. I lost count of the number of times that we doubled up by noon. Pat and Chris were also great company and safely rowed our boats through some gusty wind in the afternoon. A key perk of booking through the NPL is their access to private boat ramps which allowed us to get out in front of the other boats on the river. I have no doubt that this advantage contributed to our success. The pricing for both the cabin and the float was reasonable and for the quality of the experience that we received I would say the cost was justified. I’m looking forward to booking another trip through the NPL soon.
